International Society of Asatru (ISA) is an organization designed to serve the Folkway as more of a resource than a membership group. Its focus is on publications, folk knowledge, ritual, history, lore,community--and becoming a distribution point for other folkwares. We will be beginning a monthly print children's magazine called Kenaz (Kids Entertaining Nice Asatru Zine) in the very near future; it will be designed for children ages about 4 to 12. We will also be bringing a teen publication into being as soon as possible. These will be joined by a monthly publication for heathens, guest blogs, newsletters and forums. We are currently working on filing for non-profit status, and we will be looking into many areas that we can serve the Folkway without dictating the way the Folk need to be. We feel that heathenry can look after itself in many matters--and that the Tru Folk do not need to be marginalized/dictated to/lectured at/validated. Perhaps others need these things to feel like they are folk...but Tru Folk will never. And that's our reason for existence--the real, the once, the future Folk.
